Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Morning:

• Pick-up from your hotel in Arusha at 7:30 am
• Briefing with your guide/driver
• Depart for Tarangire National Park (approx. 2 hours’ drive)
• Game drive en route into the park

Midday:

• Picnic lunch inside the park under giant baobab trees

Afternoon:

• Continue with a game drive:
• Spot elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and possibly leopards
• Visit Tarangire River — the park’s lifeline, especially in the dry season

Evening:

• Exit the park and transfer to your campsite at Mto wa Mbu near Lake Manyara
• Campfire, dinner prepared by your chef
• Overnight in tents

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park

Morning:

• Breakfast at the campsite
• Drive into Lake Manyara National Park (15-minute drive)
• Game drive exploring the diverse park ecosystems:
• Dense forests with blue monkeys and baboons
• Hot springs and alkaline lake with flamingos
• Grasslands where you may see tree-climbing lions

Midday:

• Picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the lake

Afternoon:

• Cultural stop at Mto wa Mbu village (optional):
• Visit a banana plantation or local market
• Short walking tour with a local guide

Evening:

• Return to the same campsite
• Dinner and overnight under the stars

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

Early Morning:

• Early breakfast at the campsite
• Depart by 6:00 am for Ngorongoro Crater
• Descend 600 meters into the crater for a 6-hour game drive
• Spot rhinos, hippos, lions, wildebeests, hyenas, and elands
• Visit Lake Magadi for flamingos and hippo sightings

Midday:

• Picnic lunch at Ngoitoktok spring or another crater site

Afternoon:

• Ascend from the crater and start the return journey to Arusha
• Drop-off at your hotel or Arusha airport by 4:30–5:30 pm

Optional Add-Ons:

• Maasai Boma visit (cultural experience)
• Upgrade to lodge accommodation for a fee
• Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport
