Chemka Hot Springs

Overview

This is a Natural clean warm spring water deal for swimming in the warm water and relaxation. It is locally known as Maji Moto or Kikuletwa Hotsprings. The surrounding areas provide stunning views with a great picnic spot and tour into one of the Maasai huts will be worthwhile.

It is the only place in Tanzania, where the groundwater actively interacted with geothermal sources, forming a number of small lakes with warm, never-stagnating water, which purity is not inferior to the best Dominican or Maldivian resorts

Chemka Hot Springs is the best place to visit after a Kilimanjaro hike or a safari adventure.

Getting there

The drive from Moshi to Kikuletwa Hot Springs will start on a paved road toward Arusha, before turning left onto a gravel road about 30 minutes later. The road will take you thru gorgeous African countryside past bushland, dry riverbeds, baobab and acacia trees among many others.
